Primordial Petal and Partial Views

An idea that we are all a part of whole, but at the same time unique individual is here expressed visually as cells of primordial petal  of Tree of Life.

These works were made during the latter half of  2011.  They represent partial views of Tree of Life.  A framing part is made of branches of wood as to show that these scenes were seen between branches of the Tree.  These are drawn in waterproof ink and painted with acrylic gouache over watercolor paper.  There are 2 layers of watercolor paper and layer of canvas pad glued together with acrylic medium and are protected with coatings of Liquitex varnishes. Seven pieces were made of this series: five of which are shown here.
